FREEDOM'S FURY is a award winning feature documentary about the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and the "Bloodiest Game in Olympic History." In this hard-hitting film, the story is finally told about the fateful moment in 1956 when Hungary explodes in a people power revolt and climaxes with the infamous water polo showdown between Hungary and the Soviets at the Melbourne Olympics. Known as the “Blood in the Water Match,” the documentary follows the journey of the Hungarian Olympic water polo team and its young star, Ervin Zador, who find themselves the unwitting focal point of the most politicized sports match ever played.

In FREEDOM’S FURY, the story of the brutal Soviet occupation is interwoven with the history of Hungary’s emergence as an international water polo powerhouse in the 1950's. The film then explores the larger human tragedy of the Hungarian uprising that is brutally crushed by the Soviet Red Army in November 1956. In the film's emotional climax, FREEDOM’S FURY covers the hard fought Olympic water polo grudge match between the Hungarians and the Soviets then plays witness to a historic reunion in Budapest between the surviving members of the rival water polo teams.
